This is a nice beginner set for curious kids who want to collect and examine bugs. The net is of course quite useful. The bug house is really nice, with lots of windows to look through, and the magnifier is a great addition. Overall the construction is better than expected. It's a wooden structure, with plexiglass hinged roof panels, observation windows, and screens at both ends to allow air to pass through.The cards are quite useful too. I was concerned that they might be too area-specific, but they're general enough to apply pretty much anywhere, while having just the right amount of information for developing minds.Honestly, it's nicer than what I had as a kid.

I ordered this for my three year old son and he loves it! It was very easy to assemble and comes with all the hardware and the tool necessary for assembly. My son caught an ant yesterday and was so thrilled to have an up close view of it. I love that this toy encourages learning about creation. The wooden house is very sturdy, and all 3 of my kids have loved using the other big catching accessories that came with it.

Excellent gift for the outdoor explorer! I was really surprised of the quality of the materials and build quality is of most of the items. Lots of fun for my kids, 7, 5, and 2.Build instructions are easy to follow, but I highly recommend a drill to install the screws.I would take a half star off for the clear plastic pieces because they snap off and break super easily, but overall this is a good purchase, I would recommend.
