The bridge is great. The customer service is not. The offer was to spend $50 and get a free gift. I did not get the gift, and my many emails to this company have gone unanswered. I do not intend to shop here again with this store which is a scam.

First, this piece is adorable, and the included track pieces are a great addition because not all folks who have sets have the hill pieces. It��s well-constructed from real wood and is a great addition to the name-brand sets, or to any copycat set. The attached video goes through my likes and concerns, but the abbreviated version is that I love the gates and drawbridge; they��re easy to move and will be great for tiny hands and fingers. My concerns are that the one gate hits the piece above it, so it has to be manipulated to go around it, which makes me worry it will eventually break. And, I wish the drawbridge had a lever like the gates, rather than needing to lift it from the bottom.All that said, this is an excellent addition to any wooden track set!

I have bought several different sainsmart train set kits.Overall, this it a pretty nice component.I'm a bit annoyed at how poorly they placed the arms that raise and lower so that they interfere with the bridge. But since they are plastic you can bend them out of the way. But in my opinion they should have definitely been wood like everything else. This brand seems to generally be more of an old-school all wood brand, so I was really thrown off by the addition of plastic for such a main component.Other than that, the bridge functions really well and my son loves playing with it.However, I do feel like at this price point, it should have included enough track pieces for a basic loop. This was a bit steep for a single component that can't be used on its own.Overall im still happy with it and would purchase more from this brand in the future to expand our set.

First off: I have knocked off one star because the drawbridge lever and one of the gates collide. If the drawbridge is not up (which it does by default, especially if you let go of the lever) then you can't raise or lower the gate behind it, because the gate will collide with the lever. You can see this in one of the pictures. It could lead to some frustration for a child that doesn't understand the conflict and so can't raise or lower the gate (or doesn't have the dexterity to do so while also holding the drawbridge up). It's not a "breaking" problem but considering this is just one piece it could be irritating - hence the one star down.All in all though this is a great set. It's compatible with the track pieces I have from several brands and comes with the needed side pieces to support going up hill and down on the other side. The quality of the pieces seems great - no sharp edges, splinters, or other issues. The paint and plastic pieces look good and seem durable so far. The overall design is sturdy and functional - it's just that one issue with the gate hitting the green drawbridge lever. Aside from that I could wholeheartedly recommend it as an upgrade for your existing set.

This is a nice addition to a Thomas the train track set. It��s difficult to tell the difference between this and the classic piece. I love the way the drawbridge raises and the way the gates work, with the exception of the gate closest to the drawbridge, which hits the top of the green drawbridge support beam. I noticed after looking closely, that the glueing on this piece is less complete than the glue on the traditional piece. There is a small little gap that you could put paper or something thin in between the edges of the wood blocks on this set that doesn��t exist on the original. I��m not sure what difference this will make so I will watch. Overall, it��s going to work well once I trim the green beam just a bit, and It will be a nice addition to our existing set.
