Oh my goodness so many pieces!! My six-year-old grandson love trains and also loves watching construction equipment, so this seemed like a perfect pairing. All the pieces are well-made with lots of details and are easy to assemble. My grandson has a train set, but this includes so many extras that will enhance his play and imagination. The bridges! The mountain! The figurines! And such vibrant colors! Hours of play to be had! All the wooden pieces are smooth and the plastic pieces are thick, meaning this set should last for years. So why not five stars? Firstly, I wish the box was more giftable. It is sturdy, but if purchasing this as a Christmas or birthday present, something more attractive than a brown packing box would be nice. Also, I know parents find bins and such to keep toys like this in, but because there are so many pieces, a drawstring bag �C or a more reusable box- would have been nice. I also wish there was at least one female represented in the figurines. Finally, although this does note that it is intended for ages 3+, be aware that there are some small parts that could be choking hazards. Other than those concerns, this is a great train set that offers complete play for any little boy or girl! (And yes, even for those adults who still love trains!!)

Ok, ok, I got this for my nephew for Christmas, but you better believe I opened it tested it out before I re-packaged it to wrap.I��ve ordered a number of items from this company before and they have never let me down. I��ve come to think of Sainsmart Jr. as a high quality toy company, on par with any of the familiar name brands. These tracks and the accessories are of the highest quality and fully compatible with the name brand components.This construction site could NOT be any cooler. It comes with instructions to assemble the site as shown in the photos or on the box, but we all know that will get built, left for a few days, and then immediately absorbed into the rest of an existing train set collection, only later to become part of the world��s most epic mega train project.Not only is there a three-car train, but there are four additional construction vehicles with moving components. The dump truck bucket moves and one of the trucks has a magnet for hauling the magnetic construction pieces. The same goes for the crane, which can be attached to the rocky tunnel, or the little pass-through track station. There are more little people and buildings and construction paraphernalia than I could ever hope to list here. There are even four giant cardboard puzzle pieces that fit together to depict a construction site, and they fit perfectly in one of the sections of the constructed set.I can��t recommend this highly enough for the little (or big!) train-loving construction worker in your family. The is well beyond worth the price.

I bought this 112-piece wooden train set as a gift since I don��t have enough floor space at home, and my friend��s little boy is absolutely hooked on it. He plays with it every day!The construction theme is adorable, and the set is very entertaining with lots of pieces to keep kids busy. It does take up some space when fully assembled, but that��s what makes it so fun and immersive for imaginative play.If you have a toddler who loves trains or construction vehicles, this set is a wonderful choice. Great quality, creative design, and tons of playtime value!

I ordered this SainSmart Jr. construction themed wooden train set for my young children, ages 3 and 5 years old. We have multiple train sets across several different brands and as a set this is our favorite by far. Between the unique track pieces (the mountain/tunnel with ramp, and the elevated track supports) and the multiple high quality accessories (working crane with several different magnetic cargo, construction vehicles, and numerous buildings, people and trees) this is an amazing all-inclusive set. With enough track pieces to create a large sized play area this set is tons of fun by itself and is compatible with other branded wooden tracks. The track pieces fit together easily and are sanded smooth. If I had one complaint with this set it would be that the buildings, people, and signs are only painted on one side. Overall though, this is a great set and a good deal for the price.

This is a really nice wooden train set - it's quite complete, has a ton of pieces at 112, and is a good starter train set as well. One thing I really like about these wooden train sets is that they are all compatible (I think the original is probably the Thomas the Train engine set), so you can combine them and make a super large train system. This set in particular is a good starter set because it contains a lot of things you want if you don't have any previous sets, including a lot of wooden tracks, a couple of train cars, a bridge, a bunch of buildings, a really cool mountain (that isn't in many sets, so this is a nice addition), and a mini station with a crane. The pieces are good quality, the wood is nice and sturdy. There's a lot you can do with these - you can create your own train track layout and if you have other sets, you can combine them to make a really large track layout. Move the trains over the tracks (or get a motorized one) and watch the trains go all over the place. My kid loves playing with these, and they do help foster creativity and problem solving. A lot of fun too!
